Part 2: Identify a passionate leader and through research determine how that leadership style impacts the organization.
Instructions:
Step 1: Watch the Simon Sinek video on How Great Leaders Inspire Action (found on the Multimedia screen). According to Sinek: “inspired leaders and the inspired organizations -- regardless of their size, regardless of their industry -- all think, act and communicate from the inside out.” Thinking critically and analyzing your Mission Statement, do you believe your company “acts from the inside out”? Write at least one paragraph explaining why/why not you believe your company acts from the inside out.
Step 2: Using the NECB eLibrary and/or the internet, conduct research on one passionate business leader. Describe how that leader exhibits passion in his/her organization and critically analyze the impact that leader has had on the culture of the organization. You may choose a leader from your own industry, or one of the passionate leaders mentioned in the Interactive Activity on Mission Statements.
Requirements and How to Access the eLibrary:
Your paper should be a minimum of 2 pages, double-spaced. You need a minimum of 2 references. Check out the Rubric for more grading criteria.
To access the NECB eLibrary, click on the link in the left-hand navigation bar. When you access your first database, you will be presented with a logon screen. Enter the same user name/password that you use when logging on to the Student Portal. Two databases that should be helpful in this assignment are ProQuest and EBSCO.
