Legal, Ethical, and Security Issues: Possible Points: 20
Throughout your class and as you developed your website, you applied your knowledge of Web Technology, specifically HTML5 and CSS3. Other important aspects in developing a website include identifying your target audience (those who will be viewing your site) and determining whether your site meets the purpose you intended. To do this effectively, you need to use your communication and critical thinking skills as you plan and create your site, as well as take into account legal, ethical, and security responsibilities, remembering that any website you create is not limited to a local area, but is available online worldwide.
When creating websites, please answer the following questions based on what you plan to do (or should consider) for future websites you collaborate on or develop yourself. Please answer each question comprehensively, as though you were explaining your plans to a prospective client or your employer. Answers should be submitted in a Word document, and any sources should be cited for full credit. The rubrics for grading this assignment are included at the end of the attached PDF. (5 pts for Communication, 5 pts for Critical Thinking, 15 pts for explanation of legal, ethical, and security issues/components). Thank you.
Although something may be legal, it may not be ethical or morally right. "Web ethics provide a guide to appropriate online behavior, adapting familiar ethical standards to provide a moral framework for navigating the Internet's virtual environment."
