If you were given the opportunity to study one of the toxins discussed in the lesson, which one would you choose? Why?

 

A toxin is a substance produced in cells and is usually harmful . The main group of toxins are the bio-toxins . This type of toxin is from a biological origins .They can be either myco-toxins , phyto-toxins and zoo-toxins for fungi , plants and animals respectively. The toxins are mostly for defending such as in a bee sting when being attacked and predating such as a scorpion using toxins to get their preys .

The types of the biotoxins are necrotoxins , cyanotoxins , dinotoxins and also neurotoxins . The main of them is the Necrotoxins because they are great causes of death . With their encounter with body cells , they cause death .The body tissues have a high sensitivity to the necrotoxins and also the muscles . The snake poison is one of the necrotoxins that affect the body .

Getting to study Biotoxins is important to know how the biotoxins affect the body .Cases of biotoxin poisoning have become common .They pose a threat to the health of animals and also the health of humans .They are easy to be classified as biological hazards . The biotoxins have to be protected from conduct with the human bodies in a process called bio safety . This led to the development of the Biohazard symbol in the protecting the humans from the biotoxins .
