1. Since the advent of modern era, industrial and information revolution has led to the exploitation of earth's resources to a vast extent. This exploitation has led to a decrease in the amount of these resources. If these resources are depleted, then they will not be available for the future generation, Hence to make sure that the resources are to be used in a way that they can also be secured for the future generation, sustainability is adopted. To make an area more sustainable following approaches can be adopted

• Planting more trees: This would help in reduction of pollution
• Promoting the use of bicycles: This will lead to less pollution and also save fossil fuels.
• Using compressed natural gas (CNG): This is used to run vehicles since it is less polluting than petrol
• Adopting rain water harvesting: This will save a lot of water
• Urbanization must ensure that the disaster risks could be handled easily.
• Promoting harmony to enhance sharing: This will led to less consumption of resources per capita

2. Gentrification or Ghetto segregation is the slow process of transformation of a city from poor urbans to rich urbans. When rich people start moving in a city, they attract new business and start building poshe colonies, buildings etc. The older population slowly gets segregated and a stage comes when there is a distinct difference in poor and rich localities. This process is known as gentrification. This occurs slowly through the time. New plotting is done, new ventures starts pouring in, the prices of local commodities start rising. This goes on till their respective markets also get segregated too. The poors are sorted in localities known as ghettos. Generally these localities lack basic amenities like water supply, road , electricity etc.
