Define corporate lobbying. Why should we focus on it and what is the relevance for the success of business in America?
Corporate lobbying refers to the push by businesses on lawmakers and government in general with an aim of getting protected from foreign competition and economic shocks.Companies may lobby lawmakers to ensure that infrastructure at local level gets improved.Lobbying takes place with an objective of protecting business interests.In other words lobbyists ensure that the laws passed do not harm their businesses.For democracies that have free market economic systems lobbying is an integral part of the economic system.It is important to note that for any sustained interaction between businesses and government lobbying is important.Any meaningful conversation between the government and businesses is only possible with lobbying.
