The 3 Measures are: Mean, Median, Mode

If you were to collect data on a sex offender in your hometown first, you would determine the most common offense that was committed by sex offender. Next you would determine the mode that would show which offense is committed most frequent. Next, I would calculate the mean or average number of offenses committed by sex offender. You can also rank the number of offenses from the highest to the lowest to determine the middle number, or the median number offenses committed by sex offender

The three measures of central tendencies are mean, median and mode. Mode as we learned is the score that occurs most frequently in the data set. Median is the score in the middle of the data set. Mean is basically the average. In the criminal justice system, you can use the three measures of central tendencies to determine crime rates in different areas of the country.
