Kapwa is a mutual personality, an outward image, mutual with others. It implies communicating with others, getting a feeling of mutual identification and collective self, culture, and fate residing and embedded in our subconscious.

1. How is this important in understanding Filipino psychology?

• It facilitates being linked to others, as it leads us to stronger connections within our interactions socially. It contributes to societal and natural consideration for our culture, nation, and climate.
• The "kapwa" will not accept contempt for civil rights, will honor every human existence. It won't threaten human existence, biodiversity, and our world by abusing and misappropriating wealth to pursue a higher benefit, maintaining the universe's life in prosperity. 
• It opposes all types of inequality and bigotry.
• It drives individuals to prioritize the maximum priority above other interests, such as wealth, strength, reputation, and faith.
• The consequences of our behavior would be more conscientious.
