Fly, Fly, Go Away

Suhana (In red) squeals, "Ah!" and exclaims, "That's the fly! Yellow fly."

As it flies closer to Suhana, she squeals again, "Ah!"

Teacher: Black.

Suhana: Fly!

Teacher: Yeah.

Suhana: Fly! Go!

Suhana: Go fly, go away.

Viley (In the white shirt) points to the fly and exclaims, "Fly!"

Suhana repeats her verse, "Fly, fly, go away!"

Suhana and Viley both observe the fly as it flies away.

Suhana says to Viley, "Let's go with it."

Suhana waits for her friend to join her and together they run after the fly.

Suhana stops and squeals as if the fly may have brushed against her. She then looks at the camera person and says, "There's a fly."

As if shouting, "Fire!" Keith reaches his hands up above his head and shouts, "Fly! Fly! Fly! Fly! Fly! Fly! A fly!"

Suhana answers Keith by chanting, "Fly, fly, go away!"

Keith begins moving closer to Suhana, and he repeats, "Fly, fly."

Suhana finishes the refrain, "Go away."

Keith runs to a table and the girls follow. He selects a couple of wooden instruments.

Keith runs back across the classroom and quickly glances all around.

Keith: Fly, fly, fly, where are you?

Suhana: Fly, fly, where are you?

Keith picks up a paint roller and raises it over his head as he calls out, "Hey guys!"

Suhana continues playing at the table but replies, "Fly, fly where are you."

Keith tosses the paint roller toward the table where the girls are playing. The roller bops Viley and she begins to cry.

Keith slowly moves away from his crying friend. As the teacher approaches, Keith crouches down and rests his head in his arms.

The teacher picks Viley up and asks, "What happened? What happened?"

Keith remains crouched behind the table with his head down.

Viley says something that sounds like "Fly."

The teacher asks Viley, "Where's the fly? Did the fly scare you?"

Keith lifts his head up to look over at the teacher.

Teacher: It's not going to hurt you.

Suhana runs over to her friend (off-camera) and says, "They're not scary."

Teacher: Not scary.

Suhana: Yeah! I know it's not scary.

Teacher turns to Viley and asks, "Is it scary?"

Suhana replies, "No it's not. It's just a fly!"

Suhana squeals as she picks up a toy from the floor.

Keith cautiously approaches.

Keith spots the fly and calls out, "Fly, fly, fly."

He claps the two instruments together as if to catch the fly between them.

As the fly darts away Keith says, "Ah!"

He runs after the fly while calling out, "Fly, fly. Fly, fly. Ah, fly."

Keith pauses momentarily as if he has lost sight of the fly.

Keith continues to chase the fly.

Keith: A fly, a fly. Fly, fly.

He drops the wooden instruments and picks up a large, white ladle instead.

Keith: Fly, fly.

Teacher: Can you get it Keith?

Keith holds the ladle out in front of him as he circles around looking for the fly.

Keith: I wanna catch it. I wanna catch it. I wanna catch it.

Keith spots it, yells, "Fly!" to everyone, and he chases after it.

Keith: “Fly.”

Keith holds the ladle above his head and reaches up as he runs in pursuit of the fly.

Keith begins to make panting sounds. "I'm trying to get him," Keith says.

The teacher asks, "Where did he go? Where did he go?"

Keith looks around for the fly, spots it, and again calls out, "Fly, fly!"

Keith resumes the chase. He quickly shifts his course in order to follow the darting fly.

Keith says, "Fly, fly. Come here. Come here! Come here. Come here."

Suhana laughs loudly as Keith continues, "Come here. Come here. Come, come, come here."

Keith continues, "Come here, come here. Come here. He's leaving."

The fly gets very close to Keith's face and he says, "He's coming!"

Suhana squeals. Keith runs over to stand beside Suhana and they both squeal joyfully.

He picks up a spatula and loudly taps the metal pot with the ladle. Keith resumes running and calls out, "Coming, coming." Suhana follows.

The teacher prompts them, "Up, where'd he go? There it is. There it is, Keith. Right here. See it?"

When Keith drops the ladle, Suhana picks it up and heads back toward the cooking pot.

After banging the metal pot, Suhana looks at her reflection in the mirror and turns to say, "There's a fly in here."

She squeals, "Ah!" and begins running. "Get here, fly. Come here!"

She squeals—"Ah!"—and stops.

Suhana laughs and says, "I'm trying to get it." As the fly comes near her she squeals again.

Keith approaches Suhana.

Suhana says, "There's a fly. Come on, get it. Ah! Ah!"

Suhana says, "I need to get, to get the fly."

She spots it and squeals, "Ah!"

Suhana chants, “Fly, fly come here. Fly, fly come here. Ah!"

Keith laughs and repeats Suhana’s plea, "Come here. Come here."

Keith tosses his funnel back into the sand table and says, "Fly, come here."

Suhana squeals again, and she begins to run and call out, "Fly! Fly!"

Keith runs with her while calling out, "Fly, come here!"

Suhana responds by squealing.

Keith repeats, "Fly, come here!"

Suhana squeals again.

Teacher: Where'd it go Suhana?

Suhana: I don't know.

Suhana: Ah! I found it!

Teacher: Where?

Suhana touches her hand to her head and answers, "Next to me."

Teacher: It flew next to you?

Suhana: Yeah.

The teacher asks, "What are you going to do with that basket, Keith?"

The fly comes close to the children and Keith says, "Fly! Fly."

As it flies directly in front of him, Keith points to it with the red basket and calls out, "Fly!"

He follows the fly into the corner while saying, "Fly, fly, fly, fly, fly, fly."

Suhana squeals, "Ah!"

The fly darts away and Keith laughs. He begins running after it and calls out, "Fly, come here! Fly, come here!"

Suhana joins Keith in the chase. She squeals and laughs as they chase the fly around the room.

Suhana picks up a blanket and says, "This is Viley's."

The teacher says, "Yeah, that's Viley's. Do you want to bring it over to Viley?"

Suhana answers, "Yeah!"

Teacher: Can you bring it over here?

Suhana: And she'll have it.

Teacher: Then she'll have it?

Suhana: Yeah.

Suhana hands the blanket to her friend and says, "Here you go, Viley."

Teacher: What does she need her blanket for?

Suhana: For her, [points to Viley] for herself.

Teacher: Thank you.

Suhana (off-camera) says the now very familiar, "Fly, fly, go away!"

Keith repeats, "Fly, fly, go away."

Suhana laughs and turns to the camera person to say, "He's saying 'Fly, fly, go away.'"

Keith starts the refrain, "Fly, fly…" and Suhana joins him, "Go away!"

Both children run after the fly.

Teacher: Keith and Suhana, ouch, ouch. I know you're excited but…

Keith: There go fly!

Teacher: Where'd it go?

Keith: Fly, fly! Fly, fly! Fly, fly! Fly!

Suhana squeals, "Ah!" She points up at the shelf and says, "Right there."

Teacher: It landed!

Keith: It landed? Where is it?

Suhana: Right there. Right there, Keith! Right there!

Keith: Let me see.
