As defined by the code of ethics for professional accountants, "The principle of objectivity imposes an obligation on all professional

accountants not to compromise their professional or business judgment because of bias, conflict of interest or the undue influence of others." This means that part of being objective is exuding the aura of trustworthiness by prioritizing client's needs and interest rather than personal interest. When facing situations that might impair the objectivity, It is better to withdraw from an engagement rather than risking the trust established by both of the professional accountant, and the firm they represent with the existing relationship with an engagement client.
