One thing I took from this course is that building professional relationships are extremely vital for professional growth. It helps with social connections and help you become more involved with your community. This way you understand what is needed in your school and how partnerships can help improve the life of students and the school itself. Community relationships and partnerships help with the development of the school and the community. Relationships with your colleagues are also as important because you want to be able to bond with them so that any program being developed or existing program are properly done. This is important for me as where I am from students are short of learning resources and could use a little help from community business. Therefore, getting to know the businesses and the owners can help the school and assist with professional development. They can also assist with ensure that there is smooth transitions into new initiatives by motivating and empowering both teachers and students. This in the long term help students stay off the streets and concentrate more on learning and developing. As you can see, relationships high in relatedness in interaction are often family, friends, and coworkers in similar roles who have shared interests. Finally, relationships with high relatedness but low interaction might be friendly acquaintances limited by the lack of available spaces and tools for communication.
