The cases are not only related to COVID-19 but also throughout the entire national public health emergency. The patients are not required to have a preexisting association with the physician providing the telehealth service. Licensed physicians from one state are not allowed to provide healthcare services to patients from different states. Finally, the physicians are allowed to reduce or waiver the cost of a telehealth visit.

These changes will inform the future of telehealthcare in many ways like improving the long-term care, i.e., In nursing homes where they will have 24/7 access to telehealth care since most people here suffer from various chronic conditions and multiple comorbidities. Telehealth will lead to the expansion of Medicare access since the federal level, and Medicare restrictions have been eased on various delivery and service technologies. Changes in the state and federal regulations, which have been changing drastically, will facilitate the expansion of telehealth services.
