Please explain difference between enhanced interrogation techniques and torture.

When the police or the armed forces arrest or capture an alleged terrorist or criminal, the terrorist is most likely to be questioned to give more information about their plans, tactics, or any other useful information that the police or armed forces could use. There are multiple ways and methods that the forces or police could use to make the individual confess everything. Some of the methods that they could use include enhanced interrogation and torture, among other methods. There is often a significant distinction between torture and enhanced interrogation.

Enhanced Interrogation technique can be defined as a rewording for the torture systematically done to detainees by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), or any other governmental components using a wide range of techniques. Example of the methods used in enhanced interrogation includes subjecting the detainee to deafening noise, disrupting their sleep, beating the detainee, binding the detainees in a twisted position among others (Miller, & Perez, 2019), on the other hand, torture can be defined as the act of inflicting psychological or physical pain and suffering deliberately to an individual to achieve the torture's desire or force the tortured individual to react or take action (Miller, & Perez, 2019). An individual can be tortured without any intention but to see the tutored individual suffer. The torturer can use specific torture machines to achieve their full intention..
