Unprecedented violent terrorist activities in the world are evidence that we are living in an unsafe world. Freedom is compromised when people cannot go about their normal businesses at peace. Incidences of corporate and sensitive public infrastructure short down as a result of cyber-attacks.  Evidence of the use of biological and chemical attacks on humans remains absolute. The adoption of the evil art of terrorism results in violence, intimidation, business short-down, coercion, or spreading fear. The use of this process by some group of people to attain political, religious, or ideological goals deserve global condemnation. For example, radical or militant political and religious groups like, al Qaeda, the Khmer Rouge, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC), Sendero, the Taliban, Isis, and Boko-Haram who claim to have the capability for societal change cause more harm than good. They lack the support and the will of the people. Therefore, they choose the art of terrorism, a cheap and devilish way to spread the crusade of religious extremism, and influence the most vulnerable in the society. The face and act of terrorism can be best described as hydra-headed, complex, and difficult to manage. Terrorism remains a serious threat to humanity, just like the war it is a dangerous tool that has been in existence thousands of years in history. In the United States of America, arts of terrorism are recorded way before the terrorist of September 11, 2001on New York and the Pentagon. However, most terrorist activities have been carried out by individuals, groups, and or organizations who use simple tools and explosives. Some of these groups are, McNamara Brothers (bombed the LA Times Building in 1910), “Unibomber” (Theodor Kaczynski), Eric Rudolph (the “Centennial Olympic Bomber), Timothy McVeigh (Oklahoma City Bombing), others include, the Animal Liberation Front, the Ku Klux Klan, and the Army of God. The challenge to all is that we must find ways to manage and mitigate this cankerworm that does no one good.
