The issue has attracted a lot of interest in research articles in recent years for research and intervention. The research question was necessary for this research because it played a crucial role in defining the research objectives and influenced the phases and steps of the research. The research question was also vital in identifying procedures and participants, which determined how the research was conducted. Based on the research, the expected hypothetical results are an increase in suicidal cases caused by mental disorders. Besides, the relatively high number of suicidal deaths will be caused by hopelessness and lack of purpose in life. However, although the research findings were in line with expected outcomes, the research had some limitations regarding its sample size. The research question needed to improve the research finding revolves around the impact of the socioeconomic variables on suicide.
The research has enabled me to understand that since psychology focuses on the interactions among individual’s minds, there are various responses regarding how the mind controls an individuals’ behavior. Most individuals assume that it may not be essential to engage in empirical studies because of common sense. As such, this research has enabled me to collect data from relevant sample and the right research instruments from realizing reliable findings.
