Conduct additional research on parenting styles to learn more about the influence on children’s behaviors and how educators can support families. Include citations in APA format.
After watching the movie or TV show, or reflecting on a family you know, write a 2-3-page paper addressing the following:
- Include the name of the movie/TV show or family and list the characters or family members. Identify the parents and the parenting style(s) they exhibited.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of parenting styles from your course materials by including specific examples of the parenting styles you identified.
- Include if the styles changed or stayed the same throughout the movie/TV show or family’s life.
- Describe what you observed about the relationships within each immediate family unit (include between both parents and between the parents and children).
- Describe how the parenting styles influenced children in the movie/TV show or family.
- Explain the importance of knowing parenting styles and how it connects with your current or future work with children and families. Include your plan to use your knowledge of parenting styles as an early childhood educator.
