1) Although nurses are using more evidence-based practice, there is still some room for improvement. What are some areas where nurses could better adhere to EBP? (this counts as reply)
2. Joshua,

In what ways is EBP applied where you work or where you do clinicals?

Evidence-based practice is an approach that the healthcare team utilizes with the most current research available. With the application of EBP, patient outcomes become better. Nurses can stay updated with new medical protocols for patient care, and it can increase the chances of their patients making a full recovery. According to an article called "Why Is Evidence-Based Practice In Nursing So Important?" by Eastern Illinois University, implanting evidence-based practice decreases the demand for healthcare resources; thus, it can reduce healthcare expenses. (Eastern Illinois University, 2018).

Discuss the findings of a QI initiative or study from either your clinical location/hospital website or another online source.

Quality improvement is a systemic, formal approach to analyzing practice performance and efforts to improve performance. It helps nurses with reliable and cost-effective care, which enables them to achieve their goal of taking care of the patients. According to an article called "What is "quality improvement" and how can it transform healthcare," Paul Bataden and Frank Davidoff discuss how quality improvement can improve the healthcare system. Batalden and Davidoff conducted a study that found five characteristics in quality improvement. Those five characteristics include 1. Generalizable scientific evidence, 2. Particular context awareness, 3. Performance measurement, 4. Plans for change, and 5.  Execution of planned changes (Batalden and Davidoff, 2007). Acquiring this characteristic can be essential over the long run.

Evidence-based practice in nursing is an essential sector in the healthcare profession. Nurses are using more evidence-based practice in an attempt to improve the quality of services that they offer to their patients or clients. However, there is room for improvement in several areas. First, since evidence-based practice is about using research to improve quality services provision and improve patient satisfaction and outcomes, conducting efficient research is one of the areas that can be improved to ensure the advancement of the quality-of-service provision (Stevens, 2013). Secondly, effective communication and advancing patient interaction is an area in which, when improved, immediate results would be obtained in ensuring patient safety hence improving patient outcomes. In addition, applying all aspects of evidence in analyzing research results would advance the quality of services the nurses offer. Moreover, adapting to the change in technology as well as utilizing the technological advancement in conducting thorough research and analyzing the research outcomes would improve the quality of services in the nursing profession (Stevens, 2013).

Hello. You have an incredible post. I agree with your argument that evidence-based practice in nursing has improved the quality of services that the nursing profession provides. You have explained how evidence-based practice in nursing helps improve service provision and reduces the demand for health care resources hence reducing the cost of health care services. The flow of the research points in your post is perfect, and the ideas are well explained. You have explained how the health care system gains from the improvement of healthcare services provided by nurses utilizing evidence-based practice. You have also stated the five characteristics of quality improvement, which lead to the success of nursing/healthcare facilities. However, you have not explained how these characteristics would propel a nursing organization towards success (Bartunek, 2011). With the inclusion of the explanation on how the five characteristics of quality improvement can result in success in the nursing profession, your post would be perfect.
