Like any other form of communication, technical communication also relies on the primary modes of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It is only different to the extent that it bears another purpose and audience.

In my everyday life, I see technical communication in many areas and spheres. One of these is when I am shopping. There is usually information on the products on the manuals if they are machines, or on the sides, if they are cans containing condiments and such. The technical data for products are usually aimed at providing instructions on using the products, as rightly pointed out in the text. It is expressed that technical information helps others learn about a subject, carry out a task, or decide.

           Manual of an electronic product is usually used. Through communication, the product engineer, or the company, seeks to accomplish specific goals as enumerated in the ensuing. First, to communicate the hazards to protect the users during their interaction with the product. Second, to comply with the existing market codes and regulations. Third, to provide a legal defence in the unfortunate event of an accident. These, in essence, align with the ultimate goals of technical communication in business settings.

           Be that as it may, it should also be noted that technical communication is applicable in different spheres. Besides manuals, it is exemplified through training materials and medical instructions, among others. Over and above, technical communication employs dry, clear, and concise information that enables the intended audience to grasp the main idea as quickly as necessary.
