What are some databases that can be found in the UCumberlands Library?

Cumberland library has various databases where information can be retrieved from. Databases are materials within a library are the electronic searchable index that contain reliable sources which provides access to the most useful material. The materials include newspapers, journals and the magazines. According to Estelle (2005), databases are well organized information that are centered within a specific topic. Databases in the libraries enables a research to enquire reliable information from a trusted source. In Cumberland library, the most used databases include Academic Search Complete, CINAHL Performance and JSTOR. Databases in the Cumberland library are dedicated to a single subject formed.

Who are some of the Library staff and what are the types of information they are responsible for?

Different fields in the library are managed by various expertise. Libraries are managed by library staff who are involved in all of the library operations as per their categories in the library. According to "Library staff roles"(n.d), the library staff is considered to provide information on reader’s enquires, library systems, and management of staff. Furthermore, information based on the management and organization of the library collection is the vital role of the library staff since they work towards building a more diverse and larger collection. In addition, the library staffs are responsible for selecting, developing, cataloging, and classifying library resources.

Researchers have ratings on the sources according to their reliability. Various information is measured by the degree to which the method used produces stable and constituent results. According to Woodall et al., (2016), different criteria are used to determine the validity of information during research. The validity entails how accurate and relevant are the sources. Criteria such as how accurate the source is in terms of disclaimers of the content, the authority that entails the trustworthiness of the author or website of the source of the information, currency, and coverage are the main options used in the evaluation of sources.
