Based on the video, Ivan wants to further maximize the use of computers beyond traditional gadgets such as mobile phones and large-sized computers that are operated by keyboards and mouse. Therefore, he proposes that daily use items such as clothes and doorknobs should be “digitalized” in a way that they offer ease and comfort to its users as all people cannot benefit from conventional gadgets all the time. It really stood out to me how his invented device can be linked with our clothes, shoes, and bags. I chose the same topic and I share the same ideas as you for the topic. I believe that this idea is not merely a game-changer but will set a whole new standard for technological advancement and user interaction with the technology. Based on the video and as you said, it is all about integrating technology in our daily lives. Just like you, whenever I watch science fiction movies, I also dream of a world that Ivan’s Jacquard could turn into a living reality. Despite being fascinated by his idea, I really want the interface engineers to understand the philosophy behind his design too which is integration of different technological features in all parts of our lives outside computers and mobile phones.
