Mental health problems can affect the way you think, feel and behave. Some mental health problems are described using words that are in everyday use, for example 'depression' or 'anxiety'. This can make them seem easier to understand, but can also mean people underestimate how serious they can be. A mental health problem feels just as bad, or worse, than any other illness - only you cannot see it. Although mental health problems are very common - affecting around 1 in 4 people in the worlds, As many as 450 million people suffer from a mental or behavioural disorder, Nearly 1 million people commit suicide every year, Four of the six leading causes of years lived with disability are due to neuropsychiatric disorders (depression, alcohol-use disorders, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder).  What is the purpose of your selected approach?

The chosen health concern is all about promoting mental health. The selected approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is a type of psychotherapy dealing with how to go about ones destructive thoughts. This can be done together with other psychotherapy but it usually is done only with a therapist through counselling and for how many sessions. This can help one develop positive thinking and building up self confidence.

·      What type of informational content would your message contain?

A complete patient history and physical exam and it would also better to emphasize childhood history, and other medical disorders if present in a patient. It is important to uncover the cause of the metal illness the patient has as you go along with the therapy.

·      How would you incorporate theoretical constructs into your messaging?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on a person's thought content and usual approaches include role-playing, relaxation techniques and mental distractions.

·      Who would be the relevant audiences for this messaging campaign? Why?

This would be relevant to those people who are isolated, people with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts because this type of approach is focused and patient-centered in a way that the therapist really pays attention to the patient and not to others.

·      How would you reach relevant audiences?

By posting advertisements in the community and through social media, I think that many would be aware especially nowadays that the CoViD-19 pandemic has change our way of living it is better to post awareness online.

1)What challenges do you anticipate when trying to reach these relevant audiences? How would you overcome these challenges?

However, though online advertisements not all people have internet access and it would be difficult for them to know these programs on mental health. Simply by the traditional approach and reaching the local health unit of a community and passing them the role of disseminating the health program might be possible.

·      Describe how you would incorporate what you learned about health literacy and clear communication skills into your messaging materials.

Communication is very important in relaying health information to people. I think that it is best to suit the health information to the language of a chosen community in order to prevent any misunderstanding of what the program is all about. Using simple words for non-medical people to understand is also one way of improving health literacy to people.

1) Why do you believe that your selected approach would be effective?

I think that my approach is effective because it is patient-centered and that the patient may feel that he or she is also important. Focusing on their problems and making it into a positive outcome is what cognitive behavioral therapy is all about.
