  • A well balanced diet optimizes your health and provides all the energy you need throughout the day. Nutrients are essential for growth and repair helping you to stay happy, strong, & healthy. Also prevents some diet-related illness, some such as cancer. The healthy diet helps to develop correctly and reduce the risk if chronic disease.
  • “ No less than 40% of Americans are obese today according to the BMI regulations.” This fact startles me the most because the simple fact of how big the U.S is and almost half of the people here are obese. That shows that as a whole we need to do better with out health in the U.S.
  • For someone to know the message of this documentary and still not change anything in their diet, the chances of this I believe is higher than some would think. People could feel that they are not in fact obese and they are healthy just because they “feel” healthy. Some people are ok with their weight and dont want to change.
  • A whole foods diet is a way of celebrating plant-based food and cuts out unneeded sugars. The benefits of a whole foods diet or minimally processed diet include lower rate of heart disease , cancer, and type 2 diabetes.
  • Yes I have noticed a connection between what i eat and how I feel. Like I was told since young, when I eat or drink items high in sugar and caffeine I get a rush of energy and later a crash. Healthier foods seem to give me energy, but not a rush a energy, and it lasts throughout the day and keeps me up when I am eating healthier . The energy I am getting from eating healthy foods compared to sugary ones is more consistent.
  • I feel like having a plant-based diet, or a paleo diet really depends on who the person is and how their body reacts. Some might have more success with a plant based diet where as the person who uses the paleo diet already tried to plant-based diet and barely had any success until switching over to the paleo diet. Research has been done to support both so both could work, I believe it depends on who the person is and there preferences.

Hello, having gone through your discussion, it is exciting since you have stated all the facts in a manner that is comprehensive and quality. Nutrition is important and a balanced diet surpasses everything, especially with a focused and strict following of the guidelines. Diseases associated with diets are quite a number and a balanced diet is a representation of what is considered an ideal and effective diet recommended for the prophylaxis of the various conditions. I strongly support your opinion on the United States and the challenges faced when it comes to BMI. The higher percentage of obese populations is associated with poor dieting and a lack of a comprehensive plan to manage the diet-related conditions. Also, it is good to consume whole foods due to the significant management approaches applied in making the same good and effective. Strategically, plant-based foods are good since they help in reducing the challenges of excess calories in the body and excess nutrients that are unnecessary. Looking at the paleo and plant-based diet, I would recommend paleo due to the quality compositions associated with it. The main focus is to handle significant aspects of change and implement strategic policies of diet that benefit the body. The Paleo diet is one of a kind since it helps in making the best decisions work and enhances a competitive solution that makes the body good. Nutrition should be encouraged on the qualitative aspect to reduce illnesses.
