Ford Corporate Social Responsibility.
Corporate social responsibility refers to the self-regulating firms and business models that assist an organization to be socially responsible to the public, stakeholders, and itself. Ford company is accountable to itself, to the public, and its stakeholders in the following ways. Firstly, the company is committed to ethics. It has programs that monitor safe working conditions and human rights. Ford company also partners with other organizations to ensure a cleaner environment aiming to ensure sustainability through its supply chain. With the ongoing covid-19 pandemic that has caused numerous health concerns and public restrictions, ford company introduced numerous initiatives aimed to help the communities and customers impacted by the pandemic. It started by announcing that most of its workers will work from home. It also manufactured face shields for various frontline workers, therefore, showcasing empathy on communities and employees during the covid-19 crisis (Seijts and Milani 2020). For clients under lockdown, ford introduced initiatives aimed at minimizing the inconvenience. The initiatives include service benefits, a warranty extension, and price protection. My findings have changed the way that I will support the company in the future. When I want to purchase a car during this covid-19 pandemic, I will sure buy Ford ranger, a product of Ford company. This is because I would wish to enjoy their benefits on service benefits, a warranty extension, and price protection.
