It creates room for creativity, building new ideas, ensuring care, respect, and acknowledging other people's work rather than plagiarizing. The study indicates that students need to learn, experience, and research to reflect, share ideas and experiences gained with others to enhance understanding of the subject matter (Peters, Boies, & Morin, 2019). Academic writing includes nonfiction produced based on descriptive, critical, persuasive, and analytical research using formal style. Such practices help examine undesired and unintended influences of the error to analyze the mistake and strategize ways of mitigating such error and prevent it from occurring again to build reputation and integrity for future enlightenment.

The Relationship Between Professional Practices and Scholarly Ethics

Professional practices refer to principles, conduct, behavior, and standards that guide professionals in doing their work. They are defined by confidentiality, accountability, transparency, honesty, mutual respect, and responsibility. Such practices are based on an evidence-based approach and help guide the decision-making process and strengthen the relationship between health professionals and the community (Peters, Boies, & Morin, 2019). Scholarly ethics defines professional standards that explicitly describe ethical principles confined by integrity in meeting professional and moral expectations. Such principles include beneficence, non-maleficence, efficiency, empathy, autonomy, justice, informed consent, and health maximization, guiding health professionals in rendering quality services to their patients.
