Reason the Colonists Felt Abused

            After the French and Indian War, Britain emerged as the conquerer and took over North America. Moreover, it was the mandate of Britain to safeguard every one of its colonists from various Indian groups on top economic and political obligations (King et al., 154). Trade restrictions among the colonies made it impossible for them to import supplies and goods without involving Britain. The colonists felt abused due to the issuance of several types of taxes by the British to compensate for their war debts. The England Parliament approved such types of taxes and not the colonists’ colonial government, hence the annoyance from the colonialist. In the Great Republic of Rome, the situation was more or less similar to the American colonists. Rome was in dire need of money for successful operation in all areas. The introduction of the tax farmer system to help collect money led to exploitation since there were no control regulations for tax limits (Guo-dong, np).
