In all capstone experiences, you will be required to include a faith integration portion into your capstone project. For this entire process, we encourage you to keep a journal that tracks your thoughts, concerns, and spiritual journey during this process. You will be submitting your journal at the end of weeks 4 and 8, and then use you will use it again in your next class. This will also be a resource for you to complete your faith integration reflection in your final paper.

 

The digital age and business

Information is what runs businesses, industries, and even the government. This means that when it comes to business, information is a valuable asset that can never be underrated. The availability of the information helps to ensure that processes can be properly done and the management of an institution can be effectively conducted. Both employees and a management body must ensure that information is received correctly, well processed, and applied accordingly.  We are living in an information age. The digital age has enabled the availability of all sorts of data and information through technology. In this digital age, it is highly critical for institutions and individuals to handle data and information correctly for heightened productivity.

Businesses and individuals are now relying on information being spread through technological platforms like websites and social media platforms. This has been the heart of the digital age. Well, not all the data is available on the internet are credible and worthwhile to be used in making decisions on business processes or management.  Though companies and leaders are relying on the readily available data on the internet, there is a dire need to analyze the data before applying it is making wise business decisions. So, business management can be successful where credible and authentic data is used. Fortunately, I believe that business data analytics and other intelligence systems can be used to analyze and sort data to obtain the most helpful data for business management.

The digital age also brings a concern to the workforce. A manager must be ready to deal with both the millennials, generations Z and even baby boomers for efficient leadership. For instance, in a working environment, a manager must be aware of the ubiquitous information. This means that there should be an effective strategy that will help the business manager to control and coordinate information that is within or outside the business premises. Moreover, it is the role of the manager to ensure that only credible information should be spread in and out of the organization. The digital age requires the business manager to be expertise in managing data and information.

Undeniably, efficient managers are those that can be able to deal with the new technologies. This means that the managers, as the leaders, should be able to handle sophisticated technology.  For sure, the digital age is all about the internet and modern sophisticated technologies. One cannot despise the role of the internet and technologies in running businesses. Modernly, most businesses are targeting the international market. Therefore, the managers must always be keen to suggest modern effective technologies that will enhance operations. This means that both employees and managers need to be continually learning. The digital age requires business leaders to be on the look and be aware of the new changes in technologies that ought to be adopted in business operations. This is a prime way of ensuring that companies are running competitively.  It is also crucial for business managers and individuals to learn n how to adopt change. With technologies and the internet, business leaders always are ready for change.
