The ethical issue of the impact of COVID on business
The emergence of the covid-19 Pandemic has increased a multitude of ethical issues in the business sector. Although the crisis has brought about numerous challenges, health and safety are everyone's concerns as the corona virus intensifies. The Pandemic has highlighted the differences that are already existing in our societies. The ethical issues to business that have emerged due to the emergence of the covid-19 Pandemic are very familiar, only that they have taken new meaning and priority. According to Gasser et al. (2020), trauma intensifies the sensitivity of individuals towards acting. The current happening between employees and the business management during this period of covid-19 Pandemic will shape their relationship for so many years to come. Many business organizations have closed hence demanding their staff to work from home. Manufacturing firms, for instance, are being required to close due to the issues of social distances among the employees who can end up spreading the virus amongst them.
While businesses are taking such steps, they are balancing significant investors' interests. Essential workers who have been providing supply chain services before and during this period of covid-19 Pandemic have had their occupations and expectations from jobs transform unexpectedly (Hossain, 2021). Some employees feel that their business employers have underappreciated them. In contrast, others may think that their bosses have not taken steps to provide them with protective equipment, social distancing, and protocols to protect employees' health. However, for the business personnel who handle the executive positions find it easier to continue attending to their duties from home, the challenges of covid-19 indicate slightly contrarily. They are worried about losing their jobs next due to the deteriorating economic situations. Bellow are ethical issues of the impact of covid on business that should be taken into account.
