stores nationwide commonly known as "$2 shops". A wide range of imported merchandise is sold in
the stores.
• The company's strategic objectives for 2018 - 2019 financial year include:

• Management has decided on an expansion plan with the proposal to open an additional 5 stores
in the next 18 months.
• Each store has a full-time Store Manager, 2 full-time Store Supervisors and between 5 and 7
part-time and casual Store Assistants depending on the size of the store as not all the stores
are identical in size and range of goods offered to customers.
• The company already allocates significant funds to ensure new and existing staff working at
their stores are trained to provide the highest standards of service.
As part of the management team you have been asked to complete the following tasks the goal is to
demonstrate ability to manage the performance of staff, develop key result areas and key performance
indicators and standards, and demonstrate your coaching and feedback skills needed to provide the
