As a freshly graduated health professional, I have been in an internship program in the college facility which has been very crucial in sharpening my experience.

  1. What is the company/organization/agency mission statement or philosophy?

The mission statement of the organization is to provide Patient-centered healthcare with excellence in service, quality, and access.

  1. What are the minimum qualifications for the position held?

I have been a medical assistant and the minimum qualification is a diploma in the respective field.

  1. What aspects do they enjoy the most in this position?  The least?

The most joyous aspect of this position is teamwork, this ensures a well-rounded up service delivery for maximum satisfaction of the audience. Every aspect is joyous as a medical aide and I have never encountered the least joy during service delivery.

  1. Es the company you work for providing in-service education/training for its employees and offer continuing education programs?  If so, what have you attended lately?

Fortunately, I have been working in a college facility and continuing education is paramount. However, I never had the opportunity to attend further training since I was still in an internship program.

  1. Why do you believe you were selected for your current position?

As a medical aid, my qualifications played a major role in my selection. Additionally, confidence, humility, and resilience played crucial roles in selection too.

  1. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years?

I believe in work in progress, in five years I see myself as a chief practitioner with a specialization in pediatrics. Additionally, in ten years I would like to see myself in the middle management position if not senior.

  1. What advice would you give someone like me whose career objective is to be a medical aide?

As a medical aide, there are several virtues which one must have, first is compassion. In addition to academic qualifications, one must have a great love for the services they offer.

  1. If you were to be in a management position in this area, what changes would you consider as the most appropriate and why would you make them?

As a manager or supervisor, I would ensure that there is inclusivity in decision-making as this would help in coming up with appropriate solutions to emerging issues.

  1. Describe a situation that made you feel motivated at work

As a practitioner, my most source of motivation is seeing a patient who was initially in the most critical condition recovering. It gave me a boost in my confidence and from that point, I've always wanted to deliver the best services to my patients to feel motivated over and over.
