• Explore, Investigate, and Identify at least 3 places/companies of work that you would like to work at (occupations and jobs that match your skills, interests, values, and personality). Name them and explain why you chose them.

 

Occupations and Jobs

There are numerous factors that any individual considers when selecting a job or a company to work in. These factors flow from the nature of work offered, skills required, chances to grow and advance, and the return one would get after working. After investigating different companies that provide job opportunities, I found Google, Belcorp, and Adobe to be the best companies I would wish to work from.

One of the main reasons that made me choose these companies is because they mentor any individual who joins their staff which helps them acquire practical skills valuable within the organizations (Oosting et al., 2020). Moreover, they give individuals the opportunity to air their ideas during the decision-making process. This makes the company able to create an effective relationship between the employer and the employees. It also helps in improving working conditions. Over time I developed an interest in researching issues that are hinder organizational growth. The companies above provide an opportunity for every individual to express their interest. They further fund researchers to ensure the company has identified what their customers need at a specific period.  

Another reason is that these companies offer opportunities that match my field of study (Oosting et al., 2020). Securing a job opportunity within these organizations would give a chance to implement classwork in the area. It would also provide a better room for relating class and fieldwork. Furthermore, the companies have diversity in beliefs. They can accommodate individuals with different personalities, which encourages personal growth.

It is a desire for any employee to work or be associated with a company that can grow or serve the global market. From this dimension, the above companies have entered the global market and still hold a chance to grow in various regions they are yet to invest in. As an individual, working in either of these companies allows exploring and visiting different parts of the world. This would help in identifying more opportunities that would lie on my way.
