1. Reflect on your own experiences that inform your ideas about culture. You may find that some of your experiences involve your own experiences of being a “cultural Other” when you travelled to a different country in the past.  You may find that some of your experiences have to do with your hyphenated cultural identity (i.e. Japanese-American) in the United States or outside of the country.
2. Describe those experiences and how they contribute to your thinking about culture.
