Step-by-step explanation

  • "Today he'd rather be back in his cupboard with that letter than up here without it."
  • "Harry was thinking about this time yesterday and bitterly wishing he'd opened the letter in the hall."
  • "He was going to wait for the postman on the corner of Privet Drive and get the letters for number four first."

The Dursley's moved Harry because they were worried that Dumbledore or whoever was sending them Harry's acceptance letters had made it clear that they were aware that Harry was being kept in a cupboard. Harry would rather have been in his cupboard than in his new bedroom because he was just wanted to read those letters which came for him. But Dursley's were not letting him read those letters. Harry did not wanted a bedroom, he was happy with his cupboard and his letters. He was eagerly wanted to read those letters. He was even waiting for the postman for another letter.
