Conscious sedation is a combination of drugs that a patient is given to block pain in a medical or dental procedure. The health professionals who are qualified to offer conscious sedation include the doctors, qualified nurse, dentist, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), anesthesiologist, and other physicians are qualified to give and moderate conscious sedation in the outpatient clinics and even in the hospital. Conscious sedation is taken under certain consideration. the medical procedure should be short, and straightforward since conscious sedation wears off for a short period (Early, 2018). Also, the surgery should be simple and not complex. Conscious sedation is effective in procedures such as breast biopsy to evaluate a lump in the breast, bronchoscopy to evaluate lung condition, and other simple surgeries
