Fact scenario: Kanye (#yeezy) and his friends Kim, Kylie, and Tyga (collectively, the “Crew Members”) are enjoying life on Kanye’s luxury yacht when suddenly and without warning, the yacht’s engine dies, and the boat is swept away. The yacht is swept into an area known as the Bermuda Triangle. There is no food on the boat, as the Crew Members intended only to engage on a short outing. The boat has no radio, and only Kanye brought his cellphone aboard. Kanye is able to connect with emergency services but is told that no search parties are able to search for the boat as all world governments have implemented a 30-day mandatory lockdown due to health risks associated with a virus that has swept the globe (#COVID19). Kanye then accidentally drops his cellphone in the ocean; it is irretrievably lost. 10 days into being lost at sea, the Crew Members decide to engage in cannibalism. They decide to roll dice with the agreement that whoever rolls the lowest number will be eaten. Tyga rolls the lowest number, and subsequently eaten. 20 days after Tyga is eaten, the surviving Crew Members are rescued. In total, they were lost at sea for 30 days. They are arrested and put on trial for murder. At trial, an expert provides testimony that asserts all of the surviving Crew Members would have died had they not engaged in cannibalism.
