You need to observe and record the current location and appearance of the

moon on at least 9 different occasions.

 

Use the SAME time for each observation.

 

Have following:

 

1.

Nine sketches of the moon.  Each sketch should have the horizon and cardinal

directions labeled, as well as estimated number of degrees the moon is off the

horizon (the width of your hand held at arms' length is approximately 10

degrees)  Each sketch should also be labeled with the Date, Time & Location of

the observation. 

 

2.

One sketch that

predicts

where the moon will be and what it will look like one

day after your last observation. 

 

3.

Concluding paragraph.  In your concluding paragraph, describe what you have

observed about the moon's changing location and appearance (i.e. how fast does

it move from day to day, in what direction does it move, and how much do the

phases change from day to day).
