11 kg/s of propane has to be burned with 200% theoretical air to generate a particular amount of thrust in a jet engine. Considering the heat losses and partial burning of fuel, it was observed that the amount of fuel required was 2 kg/s higher (The flow rate of air was not altered) out of which 1 kg/s of fuel remained unburnt in the products.
What is the combustion efficiency of the jet engine ?
