The various taxes imposed upon the colonies by Britain.
Due to various acts (such as the Townshend Act), tensions were high in the Colonies to begin with.
The Boston Tea Party was due to the high taxes on tea. Instead of buying the tea, the Colonists threw the tea into the Boston Harbor.
The Boston Massacre was a bit different. It obviously occurred because of the poor relations between the British and the Colonists, but it isn't completely clear which side caused it.
Most likely, the Colonists were throwing snowballs and jeering on the British soldiers, who then fired into the crowd, killing several people and injuring more.
