1. 1. How long have you stayed abroad?
      • She has been stayed in abroad for almost 14 yrs.…I work in Malaysia for almost 2 and half yrs. and now 12yrs.here in Taiwan.
   2. What are the purposes for your stay there?
      • The purposes that I’ve been staying here in abroad as a caretaker/caregiver is to know myself and my abilities and my limits that I haven’t seen to my self when I was in the Philippines. I’ve been still here for now because I want to earn more for better life for my family and to myself. Also, to be able to know more and more experiences what I have learned here regarding my works, I can apply when coming back home and stay in the Philippines.

 

 

1. 3. What were your most unforgettable experiences there? How will you describe them, good or bad?

Yes of course they are all good to me. We treat each other as family since I’ve been working for them for a long time since I go abroad for my first time until now. There’s a lot of unforgettable moments experiences I’ve encountered at the very first time, some are not in good communicating because we cannot understand each other by local languages because they can’t speak much in English and I can’t speak better also to their local languages so we need to understanding each other. But when Since times goes by, I can understand as well what’s all about. The most unforgettable moments are when they bring me go to visit another country which is in Japan. We’ve been there for a week to visit the nature and what Japan country have.

1. 4. How will you compare the Philippines with other countries?

Philippines is composed of many islands in total of 7,107 islands. It also called the land of beauty, smiling, smart, simple, and hardworking people most especially caring Filipino people. We are from different other countries; we have a concern for someone to care for the people not just only in our country but to other countries.

Philippines has many native tribes with it’s own  dialects. This country is rich in natural resources like minerals and surrounded by water. There are many character traits in this country that are not practice in other countries like bayanihan. Each country has big differences because they have their own culture, languages, government policies, climates, holidays, economic status and etc. Some countries are poor and rich country.

 

1. 5. Why did you choose to go abroad than to stay in Philippines?

I choose to stay abroad because base on my experiences when I was in the Philippines since I didn’t finish my studies I tried to find work as a front desk secretary in a dental clinic for 8months and a housemaid for 1yr and 2 months but my salary is not good enough to help my family needs and can’t afford some of my personal needs too compared with the salaries I have received here in abroad that’s why I decided to go abroad, and I think its better for me to earn more for my better life.

 

1. 6.  Do you want to go back abroad or to other countries in the future? Why or why not?

Since I’ve been stay abroad for a long time I have decided for now that if my contract is done, I choose to stay to my homeland and not to go back abroad. Since I am single and going older, I planned to have my own future family circle and to build a business and to applied what I have learned here in abroad for a better future or income for my basic daily needs.

 

 

 

 

1. 7. Share your personal insights about your respondent’s experience. Having been aware of the experiences of your respondent, would you also like to work abroad in the future? Why or why not?

On my observation on my respondents answer it seem that she chooses to go abroad because the amount she is earning here in our country is not enough to sustain her expenses and to feed her family. Another thing is her talent is not recognized in our own country that’s why she tries her best to be able to be recruited in abroad. Having been aware of the experience of my respondent, I will better practice my skills in a small way. Because I believe that starting in small way leads to success. I don’t have to rush things but If ever I have no choice maybe my decision today will change.
