 1. Design and document a network with: (Refer to example topology.)

   • Edge Router (4321, NIM-2T module installed, any slot)

   • Main Branch Router (4321, NIM-2T module installed, any slot)

   • Two Branch Routers (4321, NIM-2T module installed, any slot)

   • Two LANs off 1 Branch (2960 Switches) • One LAN off Other Branch (2960 Switch)

   • One Server, One Laptop, One PC (off each of the 3 LANs)

 2. Always use a logical naming and numbering system in your design. (name, address, port, etc.)

 3. Design and implement an IP addressing scheme using

 • WANs: Subnet Class A private address using /30

 • Edge - Main Branch WAN: First network

 • Main Branch - Branch WANs: Subsequent networks

 • Branch - 2 LANs: /24 Class B private addresses using same 1st 2 octets and different 3rd octet

 • Branch - 1 LAN: Class C private IP addresses using subnetted /24 prefix (/25 - /29)

4. Connect all devices.

5. Documentation should be on the topology and include device names, ports, network addresses with prefixes, host addresses. (Use Place Note tool for information not shown by labels.)

6. Arrange devices and notes so that information can be seen.

7. Configure Switches:

 • Host name

8. Configure all Routers:

 • Host name

 • Interfaces

 • IP Addressing

9. Configure Edge Router:

 • Loopback interface with 172.31.x.x address and Class B subnet mask

10. Configure End Devices:

• IP addressing

• Default gateway

11. Verify configurations using appropriate commands.

12. Verify connectivity between the PCs and their default gateways.

13. Verify connectivity between routers. (Only directly connected routers will have connectivity.) Submit  a screenshot of the following: 5 screenshots. Change orientation to landscape if needed for topology.

1. Topology (including documentation)

2. Routing table for all Routers (all directly connected networks showing including loopback on Edge)
