Thesis Statement:

While social media can benefit teens by keeping close contact with their peers, over saturation of social media exposure is detrimental to a teenagers evolving self-esteem and self-worth. Teenagers unconsciously attribute their overall worth based on their status on various social media platforms. Social media provides access to inappropriate and traumatizing content that is hard to regulate, and teen brains are not fully developed and exposing them to traumatizing content can cause lifelong detriment.
