Answer:

A pleasant day to all you. Today, I will be stating my side as an advocate for education.

Education is a necessity. We have to understand that this is one of the rights of everyone in our country. Education is the key to produce competitive individuals in different fields needed by the ever changing and fast phasing technology, economy, and society. I would like to ask everyone in this room. Who wants to be left behind?.. I think nobody in here wants it, right?  And who wants a brighter and progressive future?...If we know to ourselves that we want the progress and success of this country, we have to set the goal to start giving education to our people. We cannot achieve the success of this country on our own. We need our people to take part in pursuing this goal and in order to make that happen we have to start giving every young mind the education for them to enhance their knowledge and skills, as well as be trained to become future professionals. We believe that everyone of us has a natural potential, therefore let us not waste it, we must develop and enhance them instead. How are we going to do that? Poverty has been a hindrance to Filipino families to send their children to schools. According to the 2017 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey of the Philippine Statistics Authority, Nine Percent of Filipinos Aged 6 to 24 years are Out of School, what more on these days, that our economy is sinking even more due to this current pandemic crisis of COVID-19? How can we bear that the youth whom are once tagged in a famous line "Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan" by our very own and recognized national hero, Jose Protacio Rizal, are not given the equal right to education because of poverty? Did it ever cross your mind and senses if we have the capability to change this? Yes, of course we can. We can change this and give more hopes for our country. It should start with us. Our primary education must have a justifiable funding that can give free primary education to our young Filipinos. How would this be helpful? Free primary education will lessen the burden of our poor families and be able give hope to them as well. Every parents dream is to give their children proper education.  To end up my speech, I would like to leave some quotations with you. First is from Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa and the founder Nelson Mandela Foundation, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". And lastly, from a Chinese Proverb, "If You are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people".

This speech is in a persuasive mood of sharing.  Education must be one of the necessities of the Filipino people. Through education we can build power with accompaniment of wisdom.
