Application:
Choose an image that was published in a news publication of some kind and write an analysis of it. You might select a well-known contemporary photo (such as the “Taking a Stand” image of Ieshia Evans in Baton Rouge from July 2016), a famous historic photo (such as the “Tank Man” photo from Tiananmen Square in 1989), or a lesser-known photo, but whatever image you select, you should describe it in detail and explain why you chose it—why you find it notable or moving or shocking. Do some research to learn about the context and content of the photo. What were the events leading up to and following the moment that this photo was taken? Who took it, and where was it first published or posted? What was the public and media reaction to the image? Be sure to include different reactions and points of view about the photo.
Read the text, then create a Ppt presentation to argue on the prompt given in Application, which appears below the reading. Make sure to use research when making your arguments and/or counter-arguments.
Your Ppt presentation should have:
1. a cover slide
2. one slide for the introduction that presents the topic
3. one slide per each argument and counter-argument
* present minimum two (2) arguments
* present the counter-argument and rebuttal
** the counter-argument should introduce a logical fallacy
4. one slide for the conclusion
5. References slide
Use only bullet points of the ideas; no complete sentences are allowed. Images and text letter size should be big enough as for the audience to see clearly.
