Guidelines for Case Study Assignment

Case Study Content

? All core competency areas addressed throughout 9-day virtual program must be appropriately

responded to in the case study

? Point form may be used along with complete sentences and full paragraphs; however effective

writing and presentation, including correct grammar will be a part of the assessment of the

Business Plan.

? Appendixes may be included to reinforce points

Case Study Format

? Case study must be submitted in an electronic and print ready format. PDF files are

required. You will upload your final Business Plan to OneDrive.

? File name must include your first and last name.

? Typed, 12-point font, double-spaced.

? 1” margins top, bottom and sides.

? Cover page to be included with the following information:

o Title of case study

o Your name and organization

o Work phone number

o Home phone number

o Email address

? Table of Contents to be included at the front.

? Length of paper is 24-28 pages maximum (excluding cover page, index, appendixes)

o NOTE: PAPERS EXCEEDING 28 PAGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

? All pages must be numbered with page 1 being the first page of the business plan content,

including the appendices. Each appendix should also be given a descriptive title and included

in the table of contents. (The cover page and table of contents do not need to be numbered.)

Case Study Due Date: Friday, August 12, 2022

Note: The case study marking process takes 6-8 weeks from the due date. Students will be notified by email once their results are available.

Submitting Your Case Study

Your case study must be submitted as one continuous document. Please do not submit multiple files and/or attachments; we will not perform work of an editorial nature such as modifying the layout. The case study must be a PDF file with all the documents in the correct order. Faxed/mailed case studies will not be accepted.

? Use this naming convention: <last name, first name>: Business Plan

You will receive an email indicating that we have received your file and/or could open the file.

Academic Misconduct

This policy will be reviewed at the outset of the Administrator Leadership Program by the Program

Facilitator.

Notification

Students will be notified via email of their case study status (pass/fail). Once all of the marked papers

have been submitted to AdvantAge Ontario, an email package will be sent to all graduates containing the following:

? Electronic copy of the marked business plan with notes from the case study marker.

? Letter confirming completion of 100 hours of education in LTC Administration.

Certificate

A paper certificate will be mailed in protective packaging using Canada Post, regular mail. Certificate dimensions are 9.5” x 12” (W x H). This is sent after your business plan has been marked and has met the passing requirements.

Remarking Papers

If You Do Not Pass on the first reading, you will receive your paper back with comments and an opportunity to resubmit a re-written paper.
