Factors that have influenced Human Resource Management as a strategic leader

The role has changed with time; various factors, both positive and negative, have led to this change. Technological advancement is one of the positive factors that enable employees to move their work beyond the office. This improves the productivity of the workers--secondly, increased use of analytical data to assess the impact and cost of the workforce.

Negative Influences

Career development has become agile, and gig focused; thus, employees are more focused on independence, this affects the ability of the companies to maintain high-quality workers. Secondly, the feedback has become fluid, making it highly unreliable. Several barriers hold companies from having a strategic approach to HR. Some of these barriers are stringent recruitment policies, support systems, and performance management systems. These barriers are holding back HR officers from undertaking their strategic role.
