Answer:

Organizational change is the alteration of the relationship of the structures nd roles people in n organization. These re the changes that mostly happens in an organization in given period of time.

According to Lewin's force field model, the organizational process of change involves three steps which include;

  • Unfreeze- in this step, Lewis views he behavior of human being in respect to change basing your argument to the stationary equilibrium state. He argues that change follows certain resistance, the field forces prevent people from appreciating the change. Hence organizations should use the equilibrium state to introduce behavior that is open to everyone.
  • Change- this is the second step of organizational change, after unfreezing, you now start to implements the change. This is by executing well planned change process. This is trial or error process.
  • Refreeze- This is the last step of organizational process, this is sustaining the change that has been applied. People involved are supposed to embrace this change and put it in practice.

There are challenges that need to be addressed for organizational changes and their solutions. They include;

  • Habits- these are the activities that people find themselves doing uncontrollably, they are difficult to change. the organization should see to it that all habits re dealt with that drag any change made.
  • External forces for changes- these are the external challenges, the organization can only face these challenges and come up with solutions, like competition, taxes etc.
  • Internal forces for change , these re forces that are from the organization itself. They include conflict between departments. The solution to can only come from the management, by evaluating these challenges to get solutions.
