Use any ethical theory(ies) mentioned in the course to discuss the following question:
Is it legitimate to tell lies in business if these ‘white lies’ do not do any harm to stakeholders?
Answer:
White lies are okay for the organisation if it is saving the organisation and should not harm the stakeholders.White lies are the lies that are meant for smooth discourse or deflect minor conflict supposedly without doing harm to anyone. For example,If you are late into meeting it is often tempting to say a face-saving excuse that "Traffic was bad today".Other kind of white lies include "Let me introduce my dear friend"(of collegue you dont like much). While it is difficult to take a strong step against white lies sice they seem so harmless there is usually a way to manage these cases without lying. Some situations in which we are tempted to tell white lies are actually scenerios in which we ought to be truthful. We may try to convince ourseleves that some type of deciet are acceptable because they are relatively minor.
