similarities and differences between ottoman and Mughal empires:
similarities:
- both empires considered architecture as a way to legitimate their power.
- their architectural style (large building and beautiful) were reflected their religious views.
- both empires combined regional aspect of architecture into their Islamic architectural style. Domes, massive hall, large vaulted gate ways and minarets are important part of the architectural style of both empire.
- long distance trade was important to both empires,
- in both empires, minorities controlled the trade.
- religious diversity of both empire
- religious minorities generally tolerated in Islamic state
- golden age of Islamic art and architecture. hospitals, madrasa, mosque, serais and palaces.
- the decline of both empire caused by negligent rulers and officers.
