In the wake of covid 19 pandemic , the death rate of ghana has surged. there is therefore no need for the country to spend its resource to curb population growth when there are other important developmental challenges to be tackled" (Adam & Ngaaso) . five ways examine the validity of this statement
Answer:
The point here is invalid on the ground of ethics and humanity. 5 important takeaways from my perspective are as follows
1. Every human being deserves longevity with advanced medical facilities available today. Hence all efforts to lower death toll must be taken than neglecting the same.
2. Population explosion is never to the peak in Ghana considering the density concerning other developing nations. Other issues such as poverty, education, etc are the ones to be addressed much before population control.
3. The health sector in Ghana is poor concerning its population and government should take all effective measures in investing on healthcare in the wake of this pandemic than allowing citizens to be a victim of pandemic and suffer its after-effects.
4. Collaboration with countries who are becoming successful in fighting the pandemic must be taken now than avoiding this pandemic which is sheer negligence in governance policy from any authority.
5. Humanity concerning saving the lives of citizens is the one that must be given due consideration in the wake of this pandemic and the same is being followed by all world political leaders. Ghana should take this stand and must never close eye on the issue.
