Why is it ethical? This current pandemic has put to the spotlight how our healthcare system works. The sudden increase in patient volume paired with the extended duration of this influx has drained not only its financial resource but its manpower as well. This becomes an ethical issue when physicians are put in a place where important decision of life and death are to be made and this can occur when they are faced with very limited resources. Physicians are humans, they are not meant to play God to decide who lives and who dies, they have an oath which is to do not harm. To address this issue, there should be proper allocation of funding to provide for the necessary materials and equipment especially during this time of pandemic.
