Advocating for an older client simply means being their for the client to help protect his/her rights and even assist him/her in making some informed decisions by first educating the client on what he/she needs to know. an example would be providing him/her with explanation on the difficult terms about medication when the doctor is talking to them. By being there and help patients make informed decisions or even protect their safety since they are old and are unable to do some things on their own is providing advocacy to them.

Airing out issues that affect the performance of nurses towards providing quality care would simply mean that a policy has to be change in favor of them to assist them promote better healthcare services to all.
