Define imagery.  Then, choose one paragraph from the novel that best creates imagery for you. Then, sketch the image based on the author's description.

 

Define irony.  Then, using textual evidence, identify two (2) instances of irony throughout the novel.

Define theme.  Then, identify one of the main themes that exists throughout the novel.  Provide a quote that best describes the theme.

Define the different types of conflict (man vs. man, man vs. nature, man vs. self, man vs. society, man vs. technology).  Then find an example of each of these in the novel.

Determine one instance of flashback in the novel.  Then, make a comic strip depicting the scene that the character was referring to.

 

TASK SIXTEEN: ALLITERATION

 

Define alliteration. Then, create the LONGEST alliteration you can to describe both the protagonist and the antagonist of the novel.  You will make a series of two alliterations total.
